Wylie House Quilting Reproduction ProjectContinuous exposure to light causes irreparable damage to historic textiles. In an effort to preserve our collection of antique quilts, we have called upon a small group of area quilters. Each year, they hand stitch another reproduction quilt to put on one of the beds in the museum so that the antique quilts can be safely stored away from light and dust. Each March, we put 24-30 antique quilts on exhibit throughout the house, some from our collection and some that are borrowed from local friends.Click on the thumbnails to get a larger view of each picture.
