About Collins | What's with the Gnome?
Three stained glass windows in the lobby of Edmondson Hall depict a gnome at different activities. These gnomes show up on our t-shirts, in the weekly Collins Columns, on our Homecoming float—and even in our slogans (the student Board of Educational Programming claims, “We put the ‘know’ in gnome!”).
Why are the windows there? We don’t know, but a similar stained glass window appears in one of the buildings that formerly served as a women’s residence center on campus.
