Duty Office

Staff members in the Duty Office suite include:

  • Yara Clüver, Associate Director of Academics, Publications, and Art
  • Sarah Eaton, Assistant Director of Finances, Admissions, Programming, and Alumni
  • Wil McCall, Collins Residence Manager
  • Leigh Davis, Student Services Assistant

The Duty Office suite is located just off the Formal Lounge, on the first floor of Edmondson Hall on the Main Quad.

The Student Services Assistant (SSA) staffs the public office from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.  The SSA can answer questions about the LLC, get you your free Ryder Film Series tickets (two per week per resident), help you sign up for field trips and ticket reimbursement programs (Collins often subsidizes tickets to campus and community events for residents), and check out equipment to you (such as still and video cameras). She can also help you plan and implement programming within Collins.

LLC Associate Director Yara Clüver’s office is next to the SSA’s office. Yara mentors the Arts Council and oversees Collins’ academic programs. She can help with questions about programming and equipment, and is a good source of information about the campus and local arts community.

Assistant Director Sarah Eaton oversees finances, admissions, student programming, and alumni.  You can find her in the Duty Office suite, as well.

Residence Manager Wil McCall also has an office in the suite. Wil supervises the GS/RA staff and oversees day-to-day life in the hall, making sure everyone living at Collins enjoys a safe and pleasant environment. See Wil with questions about your room or roommate, residence hall rules, or any special circumstances with which you might need help.

The Annex

AnnexStaff members in the Annex include:

  • Ellen Dwyer, Director of Collins LLC, and Professor, Departments of Criminal Justice and History
  • Michael Van Vooren, University Division Advisor

Director Ellen Dwyer is a good person to talk to about Collins seminars, possible educational events and the University at large.

Collins’ University Division Academic Advisor, Mike Van Vooren, also holds office hours in the Annex. You can make an appointment to see Mike on the sign-up sheet outside the Duty Office suite in Edmondson, or come over during his drop-in hours. Mike helps students who haven’t yet declared a major make decisions about their academic programs and which courses to take.

In the Annex, you'll find the Ceramics Studio and the Visual Arts Studio. Residents can contact the student coordinators to learn to use the equipment and to get a key. You'll also find the Archive Room, which holds photographs, documents and newsletters from the Collins Living-Learning Center that date back generations. The Archive Room is organized and maintained by the Collins LLC Student Government Historian.
