Singles and doubles are available in the Main Quad (Edmondson, Cravens, and Smith). Brown and Greene (about two blocks from the Quad) have mostly single rooms, with a few doubles available.
Some rooms on the Quad have large casement windows, courtyard views, and other special features. Others are close to the Collins Library or more convenient to a kitchen or laundry. Residents of Brown enjoy the Clubhouse just downstairs, and Greene residents don't have to leave the building to get to a first-class computer lab. Returning residents often choose a particular room for a feature they find especially attractive.
Most residents value the fact that the vintage Main Quad buildings have never been "upgraded" and still have all their beautiful original woodwork and leaded windows. While modern storm windows have been added throughout, only public areas are air-conditioned. And we like to think of the steam radiators as having character! (You may request permission from RPS to have an air conditioner in your room if you need it for health reasons.)
