News and Announcements
  • A new Nikon C1 confocal, purchased with a grant from The IU-Bloomington Faculty Research Support Program,  has just been installed.  This system is built on the Nikon Eclipse Ti inverted microscope and includes the Perfect Focus system.  This system is built to maintain focus throughout long-term live imaging experiments.  It has four laser lines (440, 488, 514 and 543nm) to excite many of the popular fluorophores including CFP, GFP, YFP and RFP.  For more information or training, email Jim at LMIC. (February 2009)

  • Both the BD Pathway 855 and 435 high-throughput confocal screening microscopes, purchased with an NIH instrumentation grant, are installed and ready for use.  These microscopes can significantly increase your imaging output. They can handle formats from slides to 384 well plates and beyond. The 855 is equipped for live cell imaging. Start imagining what these machines can do for your research. For more information contact LMIC or see the BD brochure by downloading it here: http://www.bdbiosciences.com/bioimaging/cell_biology/pathway/BDPathwayBrochure.pdf (January 2009)

  • Leica SP5 scanning confocal microscope installed and ready to use (June 2008).
