Alpha Omicron Brotherhood

Brotherhood is the most essential part of being a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. The first step in the process of becoming a brother is becoming an associate member. Whereas other fraternities have pledges, we choose to treat our fledgling associate members with the same respect that we as brothers show each other. After associating with the Lambda Chi fraternity, an associate member goes through a ritual process. If the ritual process is successfully completed, then the associate member becomes an initiated member.

Being in the Lambda Chi brotherhood means that we adhere to Seven Core Values that every true gentleman should follow. Our values are as follows:

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha, and its traditions, principles, and ideals. The crescent is our symbol — pure, high, ever growing; and the cross is our guide — denoting service, sacrifice, and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be, in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts, that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

 

Bike Team

Every April at IU, one of the biggest collegiate sporting events in the world happens in our little town of Bloomington: Little 500. This enormous event is a giant week of celebration all leading up to an incredible men and women's bicycle race modeled after the Indianapolis 500. Various organizations all over campus have bike teams that compete, and Lambda Chi is proud to say that we have a rich tradition of not only competing in, but winning the Little 500!
