Volunteer today!Let's show our neighbors our Hoosier hospitality! Anyone wishing to get involved in the planning of MBLGTACC 2009 may contact us. We are currently looking for volunteers to help in the areas of publicity, sponsorship, fundraising, logistics, and programming. Check out the Volunteers Page for more information!

Committee Descriptions

Programming Committee
Keynote Speaker Coordinators: Christy Shipyour (ashipyour @ indiana.edu) & Ray Tennison (rtenniso@indiana.edu)
Workshop Coordinators: James Sullivan (sullivjm @ indiana.edu) & Eric Samuels (easamuel @ indiana.edu)

- Finds KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
- Determines WORKSHOPS and PRESENTERS
- Identifies FEATURE PRESENTERS
- Works with LOGISTICS COMMITTEE to SCHEDULE PROGRAMMING

Entertainment Committee
Entertainment Coordinators: Ryne Shadday (rshadday @ indiana.edu) & Andrew Mazur (ammazur @ indiana.edu)

- Chooses ENTERTAINMENT
- Works with LOGISTICS COMMITTEE to determine SCHEDULING & LOCATION of entertainment
- Works with PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE to ensure CONTINUITY of conference theme

Logistics Commitee
Logistics Advisor: Jodi Benenson (jodi.benenson @ gmail.com)
Logistics Coordinator: Jurion Jaffe (jhjaffe@indiana.edu)

- Coordinates RESERVATION of spaces; REGISTRATION of attendees, workshop presenters, volunteers
- Works with PUBLICITY COMMITEE to create PROGRAM GUIDE
- Determines TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS such as scheduling, securing technical support
- DECORATIONS
- Recruits, trains, and organizes VOLUNTEERS
- COMMON AREA SETUP

Publicity
Publicity Coordinator: Diane Grise (dgrise @ indiana.edu)

- Maintains WEBSITE, other digital publicity (Facebook, email blasts, etc)
- Develops and maintains DESIGN and BRANDING for print and digital materials
- General NETWORKING and PUBLICITY tasks to increase attendance (targeting and networking with particular demographics, designing and distributing formal invitations to school and local government, etc)

Finance
Finance Coordinator: Greg Ruhland (gruhland @ indiana.edu)

- GRANTWRITING
- Networking and researching in order to create relationships with potential sponsors in order to SECURE FUNDING
