UNIT I:   ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY & REVIEW of BASIC TECHNIQUES

Day 1

4:00-6:00 Welcome and Lecture: Anatomy and physiology
6:00-7:30 Dinner - Catered light supper
7:30 - 8:30 Lecture: Anatomy and physiology, continued
8:30-9:30 Group session in McClosky techniques

Day 2

9:00-11:00 Individual assessments, (30 min. with each instructor)
Participants: come warmed up! Be ready to do just what you did on your video assignment!

1:30-3:30 Lecture: Anatomy and physiology, continued
3:45-5:00 Group session, teaching of McClosky techniques

Day 3

9:00-10:30 Exam 1, Anatomy and physiology

UNIT 2:   DISORDERS & TECHNIQUES

11:00-12:00 Review of McClosky Techniques
1:15-3:15 Lecture: McClosky approach to Disorders
3:30-5:00 Lecture: McClosky Techniques: beyond the breathy sigh

6:00 Dinner - out

1:00-3:00 Exam 2: Individual oral tests (30 min): Beyond the sigh

Day 6

9:00-11:00 Written Exam: McClosky approaches to Disorders

UNIT 3: THE VOICE TEAM, PROFESSIONALISM, AND ETHICS            

1:30-2:00 Lecture: Introduction to Unit 3
2:00-4:00 Lecture: Guest Speech Pathologist: The approach of the Speech Pathologist
3:30-5:00 Lecture: Working with other voice professionals
7:00-9:00 Lecture: Reports: reading and writing

Day 7

10:00-12:00 Demonstration: Disorder videos
1:15-4:15 Lecture: The voice team; professionalism; ethics
4:30-5:45 Lecture:stress management in voice users           

Day 8

9:00-12:00 Lecture: Small Group procedures and teaching; CMVT's role in the organization, etc.
1:15-2:45 Exam 3: Reports, Ethics, etc.
