Jeremy Barbaro holds the BME from Ithaca College, majoring in piano, and the MME from Ithaca College, majoring in voice. After seven years working in the New York school systems, he will be returning to college full-time to pursue a second master's degree in music theory; he will be studying at Queens College, where his current voice teacher, Maria Argyros, is a faculty member.

Jeremy studied with a couple of voice teachers in the late 1990s who left him in vocal pain; he decided to attend a McClosky seminar after learning about the technique by chance from the sister of Denise Naeve, CMVT, at a piano pedagogy conference in 2005. He began studying with Maria Argyros upon attending the McClosky seminar two summers ago in Boston.
