HOME --> CMVT --> MARYTE BISINKAUSKAS Maryte Bizinkauskas, soprano, has a BM from the Boston Conservatory of Music and an MM in Opera Performance from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she worked with Boris Goldovsky. She won the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions and performed at the Met in the winners' concert. She has sung in the United, States, Canada, Germany, and in the National Opera in Lithuania. Her roles include Madama Butterfly, Suor Angelica, Musetta, Violetta, and Hanna Glawari. While preparing for several concerts that were closely scheduled to each other, Maryte developed vocal difficulties. She underwent surgery for a vocal fold cyst, and was told not to expect vocal recovery due to scarring. Her voice teacher was unable to help in the rehabilitation and recommended Lin Schuller, CMVT. Eighteen months later, Maryte has recovered full range and is able to sing her favorite opera arias again. Maryte teaches in her private studio in Brockton, MA. |
