Education and Teaching:
Louise Cash is Professor and Chair of the Departments of Music and Speech
Communication/Theater Arts at Emmanuel College in Boston, her Alma Mater.
She received her Master's Degree from the Boston University School for
the Arts, and completed advanced vocal and theatrical studies in New
York, London, and Vienna. Professor Cash is a Certified McClosky Voice
Technician (Therapist), seeing patients with functional voice disorders,
on physician referral.
Communications:
In the field of Communications, Louise Cash is the designer of the Cash
Communication System, a unique method based on her years of theatrical
and educational expertise. Her current and past clients include the
Polaroid Corporation, Scott Foresman Addison Wesley Publishing Company,
the W.R. Grace Company and Connecticut College, as well as numerous
professional and educational organizations, health and non-profit agencies.
She is also sought after as a motivational speaker. Professor Cash serves
as Senior Advisor for Marketing and Communications at Emmanuel College,
with responsibilities in the areas of Admissions, Development and Alumnae
Relations.
Performance:
Louise Cash has performed on four continents, in everything from opera
(as lead in L'Amore dei Tre Re for Public Television), to classical
recitals here and abroad; from jazz clubs to one woman shows. She has
conducted vocal Masterclasses in colleges and universities in the United
States, Australia and Japan, as well as for teachers of singing. Her
audio cassette "With You," was released by Maple Enterprises.
Representative Honors and Service:
Professor Cash served on the MA Council for the Arts and the Humanities.
She received a Sears Roebuck Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award,
as well as numerous other civic, professional and educational awards.
