Denise Naeve currently teaches Applied Voice and Piano at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.   In addition, she maintains an active studio at her home in Humboldt.

She received her Masters Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois with a double concentration in Vocal Performance and Piano Pedagogy, and her Bachelor of Music from Iowa State University.

Denise has organized summer camps and festivals for the Beethoven Society, bringing master teachers and artists to the community to work with the local students; blending folk dance, choral music, voice lessons, piano lessons, and recitals into a family festival in which all ages participate.   She also performs in local groups, presents solo recitals, and serves as accompanist in the community.

Her past teachers include Donald Simonson, Janet Alcorn, Jeanine Wagner and Margaret Simmons.   She has also attended seminars and taken private lessons with Harris Balko and Clifton Ware.

The practical, holistic McClosky techniques brought breakthroughs during her studies with Janet Alcorn.   Denise became a CMVT in 2000 and has since presented seminars in Boston, Seattle, Indiana, Atlanta, and Milwaukee with the institute.   She has served as Vice President of the Institute for the past two years and is currently Acting President.
