Positions in Health Policy and Management in the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Public Health in Indianapolis
The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Public Health is searching for two (2) exceptional individuals to join its Health Policy and Management faculty. We are particularly interested in individuals who seek appointments at the associate or full professor level. All applicants are expected to have teaching and research interests in public health, health care management, and/or public health policy. Applicants must have a doctorate in public health, healthcare management, health policy, or a closely-related field by the time of appointment. Individuals who have an MD with supplemental training in public health and/or healthcare management or who have another terminal degree in public health, healthcare management, or health policy-related field with a strong record of scholarship also will be considered.
Successful applicants will have a clear commitment and, depending on the stage of the applicant’s career, experience in conducting relevant empirical research, publishing scholarly work, seeking external funding, and teaching graduate and undergraduate students. For appointments at the senior level, at least five years’ experience in an academic public health environment is preferred. Successful applicants will work with a vibrant faculty dedicated to expanding research and educational opportunities in health policy and management and will teach in our undergraduate public health and health service administration programs as well as the MPH, MHA, and PhD program in health policy and management.
