Watch this page for future Labyrinth
events. You are
invited to experience the mysteries of the labyrinth. Unlike a maze which is a
puzzle with many dead ends, the labyrinth is a spiritual tool with one path
that winds from the outside toward the center and then back out again. The labyrinths of the Middle Ages were
a symbolic pilgrimage. Today
canvas labyrinths are used for prayer, meditation, healing, grief work, and
discernment. The labyrinth can be
a mirror of the soul, a body prayer, a walking meditation, a cosmic dance, a
“thin place”– a place to commune more easily with God. It can prompt deep emotion, heightened
self-awareness, and deep prayer.
The labyrinth itself is not magic, and how it facilitates spiritual
growth remains a mystery. There will be NO WORSHIP During the fall semester of 2005. More events coming up! |
