Groups Scholars Program MLK Day Service Project "Blankets and Baggies"
Come assist the Groups Student Ambassadors as they work to assemble care packages and make no-sew blankets for a local homeless shelter in Bloomington.

Civic Leadership Development MLK Day Projects
Civic Leadership Development, a student organization of the Kelley Initiatives for Social Impact at Kelley School of Business, is recruiting volunteers for 8 projects with local non-profit organizations (Hoosier Hills Food Bank, Boys & Girls Club, Bloomington Orchard, etc.). Newark Visit to TEAM Schools
Books & Beyond members travel to Newark, NJ. Indiana University volunteers work with TEAM Schools students to edit, illustrate, and finalize a selection of stories written by both Rwandan and American students. The final 15 stories are published in Volume 7 of "The World Is Our Home" anthology and delivered to children at Kabwende Primary School, Kinigi, Rwanda, during summer 2015.

Community Care Kits
Our volunteers will be making community care kits consisting of items such as lotion, deodorant, lip balm, etc. to distribute them to local churches or local agencies in need.

Cover Bloomington Project
Cover Bloomington offers volunteers the opportunity to work in the Interfaith Emergency Winter Shelter, a local shelter that houses homeless during the cold winter months. Volunteers have the opportunity to set up the shelter, prepare meals, and organize clothing in one of four shelter sites and participate in a canned food drive. Cover Bloomington brings IU students and community agencies together to benefit those who are less fortunate in our community.
