About Us

The Diversity Leadership Conference promotes African American, Asian American, Latino/a and Native American men and women by empowering them with the skills and knowledge needed to foster academic success; establish a support network; support the goal of graduation; and improve personal achievement by influencing leadership through representing unity and a commitment to collective betterment of humankind.

In honor of our nationís first African-American president, the Diversity Leadership committees decided to merge both conferences together to develop the Diversity Leadership Conference. This combined format seeks to use the opportunity as a space with the sole purpose of providing men and women students of color the opportunity to meet and connect with individuals who have a sincere desire to promote the success of there communities.

The M&WOCLC fosters a unique venue for effective dialogue to colleagues of color from various universities, communities and agencies across the country. Since 2005 the participation of over one thousand students from across the state of Indiana and as far as Maryland, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia illustrated the importance of having such an event.
