Dr. Diana Ebling is serving as president of the Monroe Owen County Medical Society for 2016. Dr. Ebling has been involved in leadership at MOCMS for many years serving as a delegate to the ISMA Annual Convention and as president elect of MOCMS in 2008 and president in 2009. She also serves as the Chair of the Grievance Committee and has been a long-standing member of the ISMA Physician Assistance Program.
Dr. Ebling attended both Purdue University and Ball State University to obtain her BS and then went on to complete her MD at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Ebling is board certified in family medicine and has been a University physician at the Indiana University Health Center since 1988. She was promoted to medical director of the Center in 2006.
The Medical Society is happy to have her leadership and participation in the mission of our organization.

Rawa Araim, DO – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Araim is a graduate of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency program at Nassau University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Araim attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for her fellowship in brain injury medicine. She has joined IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dale Robinson, DO – Emergency Medicine
Dr. Robinson has joined IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency in emergency medicine was completed at Akron General Medical Center.
Ramon Ryan, MD – Occupational Medicine
Dr. Ryan is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency program in internal medicine at Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University and in occupational medicine at the University of Kentucky. He also completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He has joined IU Health Occupational Health Services.
Jeffrey D. Smithers, MD – Sports Medicine & Internal Medicine
Dr. Smithers has joined IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Orthopedics of Southern Indiana. He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency program at Good Samaritan in Phoenix, Arizona, in internal medicine and pediatrics. Dr. Smithers completed his fellowship program at St. Joseph’s at Arizona State, Tempe, Arizona, in primary care sports medicine.
Barry A. Steinkamp, MD – Anesthesiology
Dr. Steinkamp is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency program in anesthesiology at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Steinkamp practices with Bloomington Anesthesiologists.
Josh A. Watkins, MD – Anesthesiology
Dr. Watkins is a member of Bloomington Anesthesiologists, PC. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. His residency program was completed at the University of Wisconsin.
