Students at poster presentationWelcome to the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program at Indiana University-Bloomington! The MPH degree offers eight concentrations:

Behavioral, Social and Community Health
Biostatistics
Environmental Health
Epidemiology
Family Health
Physical Activity
Professional Health Education
Public Health Administration

The MPH program prepares students to serve as public health professionals and leaders in government, business, industry, higher education, volunteer agencies, and public and private sector health care settings. The program is taught by expert, engaged faculty and is based on the core competencies that guide the Certified Public Health (CPH) examination for students graduating from accredited programs of public health. After completing the MPH program, students will be prepared to successfully pursue this new certification that is quickly becoming the expectation for the nation's leading public health employers.

Admission to the MPH program is only available during the fall semester and students typically enter and graduate from the program as a cohort. Most students take two years to complete the 43 credit-hour program and progress through the program at full-time status. Please visit the Program Overview and Admissions Information sections for more detail about coursework and the application process.
