NBA-IU Elects New Executive Board

Meet the New 2012-2013 Executive Board

Congratulations to the new NBA-IU Executive Board for the 2012-2013 school year!

The 2012-2013 Board

Brian Corbin – President

Brian Corbin, originally from Stafford, VA, is a junior clarinetist at Indiana University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Jacobs School of Music. In addition to the B.M.E., he is also pursuing a minor in wind conducting. Although his clarinet playing and introduction into band started in 6th grade, Brian really discovered his passion for music in high school with marching band, various concert and jazz ensembles, and many honor bands across the state of Virginia. He now devotes much of his time helping other students expand their knowledge of music through private lessons and local clinics.

Even in his short time at IU, Brian has performed with the Indiana University concert band, the Marching Hundred, and various chamber ensembles throughout the Jacobs School of Music. He studies clarinet with renowned Professor Howard Klug and has had lessons with clarinettists from all over the world. Brian is confident that the new Indiana University chapter of the National Band Association will not only be beneficial to band lovers, but also help the Bloomington, Indiana community and the Jacobs School of Music.
