Dr. Jeff Gershman Conducting Masterclass!

Dr. Gershman to Lead Second Conducting Master Class with Six Student Conductors!

The executive board is as excited as ever to introduce the second conducting masterclass with Dr. Gershman. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s conducting masterclass, we are excited to introduce this great event once again! This will give 6 conductors the opportunity to spend 15 minutes in front of a small “real-world” ensemble, then receive feedback by NBA-IU’s own, Dr. Jeff Gershman. This is a chance for undergraduates to have a rare opportunity to receive feedback from Dr. Gershman, director of the IU Symphonic Band.

We will also be asking for players to participate in the ensemble that plays for the conductors. This is a great way to soak up the information that Dr. Gershman is providing without the pressure of conducting. This is a fantastic experience for all and makes for a great masterclass ending with pizza and refreshments! You can also receive I201 credit!
