Isaac Brinberg

Originally from the mountains of Blacksburg, Virginia, Isaac Brinberg has a captivation for anything musical. Whether in the Concert Hall or classroom, he wants to study music from any perspective he can find. Isaac dreams of becoming a Wind Band conductor and has interests in using new technology and pedagogy in the classroom and developing better practice techniques. He also believes in developing the self-driven musician and wants to learn more about helping students make musical decisions.

Isaac is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Music Education with a Minor in Wind Conducting at the Jacobs School of Music. He studies with renowned pedagogue Daniel Perantoni and has participated in lessons and master classes given by Roland Szentpali, Robert Tucci, Tony Kniffen and David Kirk. Isaac is currently a member of the University Orchestra and the Leaves of Brass Quintet, coached by Jeff Nelsen. He has been a member of the Indiana University Wind Ensemble, the IU Marching Hundred and the Concert and Symphonic Bands. He is Vice-President of the NBA-Indiana University Chapter, Treasurer of the William Bell Memorial Chapter of ITEA, and a member of NAfME.
