Sharla Stearn

Sharla Stearn is currently a senior studying music education at Indiana University. Specializing in trumpet, she studied with EdmundCord at the Jacobs School of Music. She is just finishing her last semester at IU by student teaching at Bloomington North High School and Tri-North Middle School.



Emily Rodeck


Emily Rodeck is a trumpet player from GBio Picturerand Ledge, Michigan, majoring in instrumental music education with a minor in French. She studies with Edmund Cord, and has participated in the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and the Marching Hundred during her time at Indiana University. In the fall of 2013, Emily was selected as the recipient of the Mary R. Book Scholarship for Music Education, an award given to young women in the field of music education. Next spring, she will be student teaching with the bands of Bloomington South High School, with a six-week sojourn in Scotland with IU’s Global Gateways Program.

Andrew Rosenberger


Andrew Rosenberger was born and raised in West Caldwell, New Jersey, where he performed with the North Jersey Region Iwind ensemble, symphonic orchestra, as well as the New Jersey All State Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra.  Currently a junior at Indiana University, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degreein music education.  While at Indiana University, Andrew has studied clarinet under professor Eli Eban and has performed with the Indiana University Marching Hundred, the Indiana University concert band, symphonic band, clarinet choir and the Big Red Basketball Band.  Andrew will be student teaching at Bloomington North High School during his senior year, as well as spending 10 weeks teaching abroad in Australia.  In his free time, Andrew likes playing board games, cooking, travelling, and listening to music.

Michael Ahearn


Michael is currently finishing up his music education degree with percussion emphasis at Indiana University. He is currently student teaching at Bloomington High School North. He first started his marching band career at Lawrence Central High School and went on to march at Blue Stars in 2009 and Carolina Crown in 2010. Also an active performer, Michael performed at PASIC in 2011 with the IU Afro Cuban Ensemble and plays percussion in the Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble. He has performed with the IU Wind Ensemble, Philharmonic Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, Steel Band, Brazilian Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Marching Hundred. His major teachers include Kevin Bobo, Steve Houghton, Michael Spiro, and John Tafoya.

Raleigh Mostov




Raleigh Mostov, originally from Dublin, Ohio, is a junior Music Education major at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where she studies French horn with Professor Jeff Nelsen. She has been a part of numerous university ensembles including Philharmonic Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Brass Choir, Marching Hundred, the Leave of Brass Quintet, Big Red Basketball Band, Chuck Crabb Soccer Band, and All Campus Band. Throughout her time at Indiana University, she has held positions as Member At Large of Kappa Kappa Psi, Secretary for NAfME, intern for Project Jumpstart, Undergraduate Staff for Marching Hundred, Jacobs Ambassador for the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, and Co-Director and founder of the Virginia Woodwind Workshop. Her other passions include exercising with her family, blogging, and consuming anything made of pumpkin.
