    Answer: No, there are no length requirements for the writing sample.

    Answer: Domestic applicants should submit the following application materials to the Graduate Studies Office of the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures: completed application, three (3) letters of recommendation, all relevant transcripts, GRE scores, statement of purpose, and writing sample.

    Answer: International applicants should submit the following application materials directly to International Admissions: completed application for admission, all relevant transcripts, and financial information.     Answer: No, all applicants are considered for financial aid if their application and application materials are received on or before the relevant deadline(s).

  10. Answer: Yes, your recommenders may submit their letters of recommendation by e-mail to Arin Pritchard, by the Applyourself website, or by postal services. There is a form they need to fill out. Please direct your recommenders to Applyourself for on-line submission, or alternatively, you may print out the recommendation form for them.

  11. May I submit my statement of purpose or writing sample directly to the Graduate Studies Office of the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures?

    Answer: The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures only accepts applications each fall semester.

    Answer: Normally, applicants may expect a decision between mid-February and March. To inquire about the status of your application or application materials please contact Arin Pritchard.
  16. Are photocopies of my test scores (e.g., GRE or TOEFL) accepted?
    Answer: Only original test scores are accepted. No photocopies, please.
  17. Are photocopies of transcripts accepted?
    Answer: Only original transcripts in sealed envelope(s) from the degree-granting institution are accepted. Again, no photocopies are accepted.
