President
Acts as primary leader of organization and ensures successful completion
of all other officer duties. The president is responsible for setting
yearly agendas for the organization, developing new programming, securing
project funding, running chapter meetings, delegating leadership opportunities,
and maintaining the integrity and successfulness and growth of the
organization. This position requires someone who is organized, responsible,
creative, motivated, possesses excellent oral / written communication
skills, and is willing to grow personally.
Vice President
As an assistant to the president, the vice-president helps organize
chapter meetings and represents NRHH with or in place of the
president at campus functions and meetings. Together, the vice-president
and president design and implement chapter events and functions. The
vice-president should be self-motivated and comfortable with leadership.
This position provides a unique opportunity to shape the chapter and
fulfill personal moral objectives through the organization of community
service events.
Communications Chair
The director of communcations is responsible to keep the members and
community in touch of what is happening at NRHH. The communications
chair maintains the electronic accounts of NRHH, which include
a web site, distrubiton lists and email. The director of communcations
is usually supplied with content by other executives or members. E.g.,
minutes recorded by the secretary need to be published to the web
page and pictures taken by the historian need to be put on the web
page. Typically, this position requires a continuous but low time
investment to keep the web page up to date.
Community Service Chair
Historian
The NRHH Historian is responsible for recording the events
of the year. He or she must photograph meetings, philanthropic events,
and social gatherings. These photos must then be organized and put
together with descriptions in a scrapbook that will serve to commemorate
the accomplishments of each class. Also, the individual who holds
this position must present a brief description of NRHH at
the initiation ceremony. Organizational, research, and writing skills
are necessary to fulfill this position successfully.
Secretary
Records minutes at meetings. The minutes are then made available to
all members.
Treasurer
Oversees the finances of the chapter. Plans and approves purchases.
The treasurer contacts sponsors to raise money and plans events to
increase the budget.
Webmaster
Maintains and updates NRHH website.
Faculty Advisor
This is a full time faculty member, who advises the chapter.
