Information professionals prepare for their careers along many paths

SLIS at IU offers targeted selection of four degree options:

MIS: Master of Information Science

MLS: Master of Library Science

Ph.D.: Doctor of Philosophy in Information Science

Specialist: Specialist in Library and Information Science (Post-Master's Degree)

Within these programs, SLIS offers a rich mix of joint degrees, specializations, and less tightly prescribed degree tracks. We have more dual and joint degree programs than any other school of this kind in the nation. Graduates combine an expertise in a chosen field with a mastery of information services and technologies.
