• “Educating Immigrant Children” is the topic of a conference at IU South Bend Friday, Feb. 20, 3:30-6:30 p.m., in Room 1001 of Wiekamp Hall. Myung-sook Koh and Kwadwo Okrah, both of the School of Education; Gabrielle Robinson of International Programs; and Maria Robledo Pedraza from the South Bend Community School Corp. will speak. Those wishing to attend are asked to call 574-237-6535 to make a reservation.

• “Kremlin Power and the 2003-04 Russian Elections” is the topic of a conference at the Indiana Memorial Union at IUB Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, Feb. 29. Russians elected members of the Duma in December and the presidential election is in March. The conference is free to students and faculty but registration is required.
