Affirmative action staff honored for 'Best Diversity Programs'

The staff of the Indiana University Office of Affirmative Action in Bloomington was honored last November by the Human Resources Association of Central Indiana for “Best Diversity Programs” in the large employer category (over 500 employees). Based upon a survey filled out by employers about employment practices, the award recognized IU's implementation of several programs for employees, such as diversity training, career development and the new domestic partners policy. Members of the affirmative action staff are pictured above (from left): Laura Galloway, associate director; Tamy Chambers, administrative secretary; Vella Price, computing coordinator/data manager; Julie Knost, director; Mark Bryson, diversity educator; Juanita Jochim, recruitment and selection consultant; and Rob Aspy, EEO specialist.
