Educational Resources Information Center provides digest on the Supreme Court

Elementary and Secondary teachers who need to brush up on their knowledge of the U.S. Supreme Court can find a condensation of the knowledge they need in a new ERIC/ChESS digest. ERIC is an acronym for Educational Resources Information Center, part of a national network with contributions by American universities.

“Teaching About the United States Supreme Court,” a digest by Sarah E. Drake, a doctoral candidate in the School of Education and a project assistant at the Social Studies Development Center, and Thomas S. Vontz, assistant professor of education at Rockhurst University in Kansas City. The digest begins with the evolution of the Supreme Court leading up to the Judiciary Act of 1789 and its ultimate place in the balance of power in the federal government.
