| The IU International Resource Center on the Bloomington campus has teamed up with the FFA—formerly Future Farmers of America—to develop an internet-based educational program to inform high school students about international agriculture. The interactive program links global agriculture and travel in one virtual tour. Students using the program follow two virtual peers, Carmen and Eric, as they learn about international travel and the language, culture and customs of the countries visited. The Web site and introductory CD-ROM have been funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. IU was the lead organization in obtaining the $280,000 grant for the project. Purdue University, Wisdom Tools and the National FFA were also involved.
