HHE Web site helps explain IU’s biennial budget request | |
| Nearly 400 people, including 250 IU alumni and friends, met with state legislators Wednesday (Feb. 14) at a Hoosiers for Higher Education (HHE) Statehouse visit. The visit was part of the HHE’s outreach to raise awareness of IU’s contributions to the state and the importance of higher education funding.
Every two years, IU submits a request for operating appropriations to the state legislature to fund all campuses’ and centers’ programs (the operating request), to fund building construction (the capital request) and to fund programs separately funded by the state (the special appropriations request).
