IU Northwest has new division, new vice chancellor

By Roxane Geraci

Lorber

Jeff Lorber has joined the IU Northwest administration as the new vice chancellor for university advancement.

Lorber will lead a newly formed division called the Division for University Advancement, a merger between two separate offices formally known as the Office of External Affairs and the Office of Marketing and Communications. The new division will encompass the offices of development, alumni, marketing and communications.

Lorber comes to IU Northwest from the University of Tennessee (UT) where he served as director of development for the College of Engineering. Achievements include the coordination of the largest gift made to UT in its history, a software gift valued at more than $47 million. Prior to his service at UT, Lorber served as director of university development at Northern Illinois University and as director of major gifts at Butler University.
