Making IT Happen!

Making IT Happen!, the information technology fair that is traveling around the state to IU campuses this semester, continues at IU Kokomo Wednesday, March 2; at IU East Wednesday, March 9; at IU South Bend Tuesday, March 22; at IU Northwest: Wednesday, March 23; and at IU Southeast Wednesday, March 30. The fair also will be visiting the IUPU-Columbus campus at a later date.

The fairs are designed to increase awareness of information technology resources, innovations and support tools that benefit nearly 100,000 students and that play a key role in students' success in their academic and career goals.

Students, faculty and staff can drop by to see demonstrations, student showcases and get information on tech-related opportunities, products and services--and also have fun and get giveaways, refreshments and snacks. This year's theme is "Get with IT."

"Making IT Happen! is part of our continuing effort to make certain that all students are aware of the exceptional IT resources available to complement and enhance their academic work," said Garland Elmore, associate vice president for Teaching and Learning Information Technologies. "We are especially pleased to have students showcase how information technology plays a part in their own academic projects."

Making IT Happen! is hosted by University Information Technology Services.

"Making IT Happen! celebrates the varied and consistent richness of IU's technology landscape, and we're encouraging students to use this opportunity to become more aware of the resources available on their home campus and throughout the university," noted Elmore.
