| According to promotional material, the group’s odd name—the king’singers— is a graphical representation of “the fusion of six voices and personalities into a single strong musical force.” Audiences may hear a madrigal or two but are just as likely to get pop, orchestral and multi-lingual folk music as well at the group’s March 9 performance at the Ogle Center on the IU Southeast campus. The performance begins at 7: 30 p.m.
The all-male sextet, formed in 1968 at King’s College, Cambridge University, has been called the world’s most sought-after a capella ensemble. http://OgleCenter.ius.edu/drummer.html
