| Eighth grader Kyle Kacius of Kahler Middle School in Dyer took part in a team event called “Mission Possible” at last month’s Indiana Science Olympiad on the IU Bloomington campus. The annual event brings several hundred middle and high school students to campus for state finals; IU Southeast and IU Northwest were both hosts to regional events. Through IU’s College of Arts and Sciences, summer camps for aspiring scientists (and Pre-College Institutes for 11th and 12th graders with three program options: game programming, videography or global economics) are scheduled this summer at IUB.
