Get ready, get set: OneStart this fall

New portal to serve all IU campuses

By Christine Fitzgerald
IU has a new portal under development that will be called OneStart.

OneStart will provide a user-centered, universal portal to IU systems and other services for students, faculty, staff, parents of students and prospective students for all IU campuses. Additionally, scores of other “channels” will be available to OneStart constituents. Among these will be news, weather, entertainment and resources. OneStart users will be able to fully personalize their view of the portal to match how they wish to interact with it.

The first major release of the OneStart portal is planned for fall. It will evolve over time to incorporate more and more services. In order to be successful, the OneStart project needs continued input from the IU community. Interested students, staff, and faculty can take part in advisory committees and provide feedback on the OneStart portal project. Students, staff, and faculty associated with any IU campus may participate by signing up at the OneStart project Web page:
