Clapacs to advise stadium authority

Clapacs

J. Terry Clapacs, IU vice president and chief administrative officer, has been named Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels’ adviser to the Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority.

The appointment was announced by the governor’s office on May 17. Clapacs will attend authority meetings and provide members with independent advice and analysis of architectural and construction matters. He was chosen for the role because of his 35 years of experience in overseeing all major building projects on IU’s seven campuses, including the infrastructure that has supported the development of IUPUI into a major urban research university. Clapacs will serve as an unpaid volunteer and will remain in his current position as an IU vice president.
