Autumn exhibitions include Wells’ IU arts legacy



Man Ray's Revolving Doors Series (including The Meeting: Plate 4) runs through Sept. 30 at the IU Art Museum in Bloomington.




Works on paper by sports artist LeRoy Neiman (including this image of Joe D'Maggio) will be on exhibit through Oct. 31 at the National Art Museum of Sport at IUPUI's University Place.

"Rafting Downstream," artist unknown, and Alfred Bricher’s "Sea and Rocks (near Newport)" are both from the collection of the late University Chancellor Herman B Wells. Living with Art: The Legacy of Herman B Wells, featuring the fine art and antique furniture that were gifts and bequests to the IUB campus from Wells, will open with a reception Friday, Oct. 5, from 5-7 p.m. in the atrium of the IU Art Museum in Bloomington.
