| · To celebrate Constitution Day (see today's Viewpoint), IU Northwest's Maria Eisenstein, assistant professor of political science, will open her classes to the public on Monday, Sept. 19, at the Library Conference Center, Room 105. Here's the schedule of topics:
1-2:15 p.m.: U.S. Congress 2:30-3:45 p.m.: Religion and Politics 4-5:15 p.m.: Introduction to American Government
· Eugenie Scott, founder and director of the National Center for Science Education, will speak on the subject of "The Pillars of Creationism and the Teaching of Evolution" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the IU Auditorium in Bloomington. On Thursday, Sept. 22, she will give the annual Joan Wood Lecture detailing her career path at 4 p.m. at Myers Hall 130, IUB.
· There's still time to register for the 2005 I-Light Symposium, a forum for high performance networking, computing, visualization and collaboration, on the IUPUI campus Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 21-22. http://www.iupui.edu/~ilight/symposium05/
