A year-long lecture series, titled “Homeland Insecurities: Sexuality, Citizenship and Empire” and sponsored by the Department of Gender Studies at IU Bloomington will launch with a presentation by Nan Hunter, a professor at the Brooklyn Law School and co-director of the school’s Center for Health, Science and Public Policy, at noon Monday, Sept. 19. The presentation will be in the Oak Room of the Indiana Memorial Union. Hunter’s topic will be “Marriage and Sexual Citizenship.” She is co-author, with William Eskridge, of the casebook Sexuality, Gender and the Law.
