The sounding of a gong marked the moments planes crashed into the
World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania one
year ago. A major initiative of the day was a joint effort of IPFW
and NBC-affiliate Channel 33, to present a live interactive program,
America Remembers: A Local Perspective. The telecast originated
from the ballroom of the Walb Student Union.

Hope Oaks was one of many townspeople joining the campus community
at IU Kokomo for a solemn commemoration.
