Homecoming 2003 IU Bloomington

Before the homecoming parade Oct. 10—Indiana Memorial Union building manager Mike Fazio puts the finishing touches on the Union Board float in the loading dock between the IMU and Ernie Pyle Hall. Students created the float with the theme “Sweet Home Away from Home” to signify the union’s all-inclusive services IU alumnus Bruce Stephenson records the homecoming parade alongside his three-year-old daughter, Greta.
Darin Woodley, son of David Woodley, director of the Marching Hundred, watched dad at work during the pre-weekend homecoming festivities earlier this month. Darin’s dad coordinated part of the musical entertainment for the evening. IU President Adam Herbert raised his fist in support of the football team during homecoming festivities in front of the Sample Gates in Bloomington Oct. 10.

The IU Bloomington football team took to the field for the homecoming game against Northwestern. Northwestern's Marquice Cole tried to bring down Courtney Roby of Indiana as Cole's teammate Braden Jones closed in to assist in the tackle.
IU alumnus and drum major Phil Ferguson, Class of 1948, whistled commands to the alumni marching band before the homecoming game. Ferguson currently resides in Selma, Calif. IU Bloomington football player Glenn Johnson (right) ran the ball to set up a touchdown for the Hoosiers on the following play during the second quarter of the homecoming game against Northwestern.
