 Schilling | IUPUI is home base for three key players in the Indiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD). Ed Schilling, associate professor of physical education, received the organization’s Honor Award last month in recognition of outstanding service.
He was credited at the annual convention for having boosted student participation. IUPUI has won student attendance awards at the conference 13 out of the last 14 years. Lisa Picek, a physical education major and member of IUPUI’s swim team, is the new president-elect of IAHPERD’s student section, the Council for Young Professionals. IAHPERD’s retiring executive director is P. Nicholas Kellum, dean of the School of Physical Education. |
