Want to honor a Hoosier school teacher?

IU’s Center on Congress soliciting nominations

By Debbie Still
IU’s Center on Congress is accepting applications for its award to recognize outstanding teaching about Congress.

The Outstanding Teacher Award Program recognizes Indiana school teachers who have made exemplary efforts in teaching about Congress in their classes. Up to five awards of $5,000 each will be given. The Outstanding Teacher Award Program is funded under the auspices of the Cummins Engine Foundation.

A major goal of the Center on Congress is to assist teachers in providing quality education about the national representative branch of government.
