Global connection

Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Ohio rank among the top ten host states for international students, and IU Bloomington ranks 17th among all U.S. colleges and universities for the number of international students it hosts, according to a report released in November by the Institute of International Education. Estimated economic impact of international students on Indiana in 2005-06 was more that $302 million. Asia remains the largest sending region, accounting for 58 percent of total U.S. international enrollments.
