| IU Northwest celebrated
its second annual homecoming earlier this week. The campus has its
roots in the IU Calumet-Gary Extension, established in 1932 in East
Chicago. The first building opened at the current site in 1959. There
are now 15 buildings, including the Northwest Center for Medical Education.
This spring will mark the 35th anniversary of IU Northwest’s first
graduating class. |
Bloomington graduate student Emily Mark of Los Angeles
is the second IU student to be named a George J. Mitchell Scholar.
The national program is three years old and will allow the arts
administration major to study the history of art at Trinity College
in Dublin, Ireland. Mark, a graduate student in arts administration,
is one of 12 George J. Mitchell Scholars nationwide.
