About 'Home Pages'
Mission statement: IU Home Pages exists to inform and strengthen
communication among the faculty and staff on all eight Indiana University
campuses. It is part of an ongoing effort to increase awareness of
the value of an IU education, the esteem of the IU workplace, IU faculty
and staff excellence, and the positive effects the Indiana University
campuses have on their local communities, the state, the nation and
the world.
Background: IU Home Pages, a bi-weekly newspaper
for faculty and staff on the eight campuses of Indiana University,
begins its sixth year of publication on line and in print with the
2001-2002 fall semester. Some editorial and photographic coverage
is provided by Media Relations, External Relations and Community
Relations staffs on all campuses.
IU Home Pages was launched the fall semester of 1996 by
IU's Office of Public Affairs and Government Relations and replaced
the former IU Newspaper. Home Pages is distributed to 17,000
