Davis permanent pick for IUB men's basketball; McNeely named to athletics directorship
IUB interim men’s basketball coach was named the program’s 25th head coach last week by IU President Myles Brand. IUB’s next athletic director was named earlier this semester. He’s Michael McNeely, vice president and CEO of the San Diego Chargers, who will begin his tenure this summer upon the retirement of Clarence Doninger, who has served in that position since 1991.

Dorm food? The decades when "mystery meat and gravy" was standard fare are ancient history. Dining Services, a unit of Residential Programs and Services on the IU Bloomington campus, employs an executive chef and sous chef staff that focus on recipe development, product quality standards and control, specialty menus and "presentation cooking," including an elegant "reservations only" buffet at Forest Quad’s Greenleaf Room last month that featured orange roughy, New York strip steak and shrimp scampi. The man responsible for the spread, which began with mocktails and hors d’oeuvres, is executive chef Ancil Drake.
