Wells meets Shostakovich

Wells

Shostakovich

Brian Kearney, currently a development officer at the IU Art Museum and for some years an organizer and commentator on local public access radio, interviewed Herman Wells in 1990 concerning a trip to Russia which Wells had taken 40 years before. One of the highlights of that trip for Wells was getting to meet composer Dmitri Shostakovich. Kearney was no stranger to Wells; he had served as an aide to the university chancellor while a student on the Bloomington campus.

The audiostream is 12 minutes long.
