The National Association of Colleges and Employers has projected a 13 percent increase in college hires during 2004-2005, with employers from the Midwest projecting a 15.1 percent increase.
Four children, a loving mate and a nurturing support system saw Sheya Martin through the rigors of the undergraduate experience. Named the Adult Student of the Year by the Indiana Council for Continuing Education, Martin will still be in her lab at IUB's Jordan Hall this summer pursuing an advanced degree.
Richard Shiffrin, IU Distinguished Professor of psychology, is the fifth IU faculty member in history to be inducted into the venerable American Philosophical Society, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1743.

The bug to watch this season is the emerald ash borer, which is damaging stands of ash trees throughout the Midwest.
