• IU has the largest library system in Indiana and serves the faculty, students and staff of the IU campuses, all citizens of the state, and scholars from around the nation and the world. In Bloomington, the Ruth Lilly Auxiliary Library Facility (ALF) on North Range Road will be dedicated Thursday (Oct. 3) at 4 p.m. Read more at this site:

As of June 30, 2001, the 6,384,711 volumes held by the Bloomington campus libraries made up 71 percent of the total system’s holdings. The IUPUI campus housed 15 percent of the entire collection, and the other campuses held 14 percent. Between 1995 and 2001, the holdings of the total system increased by 943,787 volumes, an increase of almost 12 percent.
